Well Christmas has come and gone, twas rather good this year in general (other than having to work boxing day). The food was especially good and I'm not being bias even if I did cook it.
Off to Norway in a couple of hours for new year so shall return in the new year hopefully with some photos to upload since I've been neglecting that side of things for a while.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and that they have a good new year too.

So much for me updating this thing more regulary, it's been 3 months since I last posted a journal, and the previous one was 2 months before that. For those of you who don't understand the title Mr Flibble was a character in an episode of Red Dwarf (Series 5 Episode 4 for those of you who want to watch it) and for those who are curious as to who Mr Flibble is then here is a picture of him --->[link] (he's the one on the left).
Not really got much to report, business and my website are finally up and running, I'm just trying to get work now and make some money so hopefully that will happen soon.
I'm thinking I really need to take more photos, especially since I've the time, ability and equipment to do them at home if I am wanting studio work which is what I really want to get most of my work from. I should also take advantage of the clear skies and dry days we have been having recently but I always seem to get distracted from taking photos by things, hopefully that will all change when I get back from Norway in January, if not before.

So much for me updating this thing more regulary, it's been 2 months since I last posted a journal.
In the last 2 months not much has happened really, mostly spent it trying to get my own business off the ground and doing work relating to that, while doing the odd little bit of work here and there to get some extra cash. I've definitely gained a lot of confidence in my portraiture abilities since that's all I have really done in terms of photography recently, which just goes to show that I shouldn't let my doubts in my abilities hold me back from trying things.
I've also been starting to make a list of places I want to visit, some for photography reasons, others because I just would like to visit them, although I think they would all turn into photography holidays. If anyone has any suggestions of worthwhile places to visit let me know and I'll add them to my list.

Well I'm back in England, for how long who knows. I've spent the last day and a half unpacking stuff which I brought down from Scotland, and sorting out stuff that was already here, no matter how much stuff I throw out I seem to still have too much stuff. Would have done this whole update sooner but had no net for near enough 2 weeks which meant I couldn't get on and update this to advertise the exhibition unfortunately.

Anyway, rewind a few weeks and I finished college so I'm now a qualified photographer, just need to get the certificate in the post to prove it which should be another few weeks. The opening night of the exhibition went well, got some really good compliments about the shots I had up. Following the opening night event finishing a group of about 30 lecturers and students descended on a local pub to carry on drinking, which allowed us all to see each other as we really are without the college stuff getting in the way and also to relax around each other for the first time in 2 years.

I'm still hunting for a job so I can start making some money, but I'm also looking into loans/grants for setting up a business and into places i can get the bits and pieces of equipment i need fairly cheap without compromising on the quality of them. So things for the next few weeks will be pretty up in the air, but hopefully I can get stuff sorted soon. I really should also see about passing my driving test soon so that I can try and get extra business that way.

Oh and it's definitely summer, in Scotland there was one week of good weather and just had one week on rain straight after and now it's supposedly switched back to good weather again.

Oh and my mood isn't eager, it's contemplative but for some reason I can change the thing.

After a long absense I've finally got around to doing some features again. The first 2 are chosen because they show places I know but in a way that is different from how I usually see them. The 3rd is me and a small selection of some of work I've done recently that I'm proud of.

I'm currently experiencing something at the moment which I've not had for a long time...
free time. I've been working pretty much solid the last few weeks on college related stuff which has sometimes been fun, but at others very stressful. Thankfully things have calmed down for a little while so I can actually have me time.
Currently working through uploading everything I've meant to upload in the last few months so there will be a few more bulk uploads I think, which will be a mixture of project work I've been doing and other stuff, so if something looks like it's in the wrong catagory then it isn't because of the intention behind the photograph.

Paris was really good, did some touristy stuff, and quite a bit of exploring. I think I ended up at the Eiffel Tower about 5 times or so. Food there was really good except they seemed to have a phobia of serving food hot, and a habit of taking ages between clearing your plates from one course and serving your next course. I definitely want to go back and explore it a lot more, and to also visit some of the stuff I didn't see too.

I'm sure there is more I planned to write in here but I can't remember. I think it's probably a sign that when I'm insanely busy to write stuff down more often.

Only 2 weeks till I'm totally finished college, except for the exhibition which is running from June 14th-26th, but that doesn't really count fully as college since I wont be in there constantly that week.
